SnV

Heavy Vanilla with egg like notes and slightly creamy. This has a plastic note fir me due to the heavy Vanilla

7 day steep

The cream is increasing in strength and thickening up to a custard like taste due to that egg note.

14 day steep

No change

28 day steep

This has now become a sweet, thick, rich and eggy Vanilla custard with a soft buttery taste in the background. The plastic like off note I experienced has now steeped out.

Suggested usage

I’d use this as an accent 0.5%-1%, Background 1%-2%, Main 2%-4%.

At 4% this is at the limit for my taste buds if I mixed this any higher the plastic off note would take months to steep out if at all.

If you don’t experience that off note you would be able to use this higher in a mix for a very rich and strong vanilla custard possibly up to 10% in a mix and 20% standalone, although using that high it will take longer to become full strength of 3 months+, if you were to use this that high you would also need to pair it with other strong concentrates and I would advise to add any fruits towards the end of the steeping period to avoid the fruits fading before your mix matures. The longer this steeps the stronger and creamier it will become.

Will work well as a main note for a custard base, use as an accent with bakery to add some mouthfeel, Vanilla and buttery richness.

Use with Custards, Fruit, Bakery, Nuts, Vanilla, Ice Cream, Cheesecakes, Dairy, Coffee, Mints and possibly some Tobaccos.
