Description
Food-grade (>99.5% purity, EP-grade) vegetable glycerine (E422), a clear, odourless liquid with a mild natural sweetness. Glycerine is a humectant, so it draws in and holds moisture, which makes it a staple for keeping cakes, icings, fondants and ganaches soft and workable.
It stops sugar from crystallising in syrups and confectionery, adds smoothness and body to fillings and sauces, and helps prevent ice crystals forming in sorbets and ice cream. It also carries and softens flavourings, and extends the freshness of finished bakes.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Available in 2.5L and 5L.
